Quadrant’s SymaLITE® lightweight reinforced thermoplastic (LWRT) composite is ideal for panelized or molded applications requiring weight reduction, functional integration, and superior performance. Supplied as a consolidated sheet – with or without functional or decorative layers – the material can be used in numerous applications to replace Luan, plywood, and other plastic materials as is or thermoformed into 3D geometries. A unique feature of SymaLITE® LWRT is the ability to vary density across the surface of a molded part without adding more material (or mass), achieved by controlling how deeply the mold compresses the material.

Reinforcement: Long glass fiber
Surface density: 700 - 2200 g/m2
Glass content: 30 % - 55 %
Maximum width: 2300 mm
Plate thickness: 2.5 mm - 6.0 mm
Functional layers: upon request (for instance: adhesive film, barrier foil, protective fleece or non-woven)

Application fields
Decorative Interior: Specially designed for decorative applications such as automotive headliners (fabric can be bonded to SymaLITE® composite).
Protective Exterior: Customized material designs for protective shield
applications in automotive, RV and construction equipment.
Panels: Unique panels for replacement of Luan reinforcement panels in the RV and truck trailer industries.
